Pencak Silat Association Odisha (PSAO) is the only State Association for Pencak Silat Sports in Odisha, duly affiliated with the Indian Pencak Silat Federation (IPSF), the International Pencak Silat Federation (PERSILAT), the Asian Pencak Silat Federation (APSIF), and the South Asian Pencak Silat Federation (SAPSF).
ABOUT PENCAK SILAT ASSOCIATION ODISHA (PSAO)
- Pencak Silat Association Odisha( PSAO) is the only State Association for Pencak Silat Sports in Odisha, duly affiliated with the Indian Pencak Silat Federation (IPSF), affiliated with the International Pencak Silat Federation (PERSILAT), the Asian Pencak Silat Federation (APSIF), and the South Asian Pencak Silat Federation (SAPSF).
- Pencak Silat Association Odisha (PSAO) is duly recognized by the Odisha Olympic Association. Pencak Silat Association Odisha (PSAO) has 20 districts and UT’s members are all over Odisha
- Pencak Silat Association Odisha (PSAO) was incorporated as a non-profit organization registered under the IGR Societies of Registration under Act 1860, with the aim and objectives of only promoting the tremendous art of Pencak Silat Sports all over Odisha at the schools, colleges, universities, and corporate levels, not only as a martial art of self-defense but also as a sport.
- Pencak Silat Sports is now a medal event in the Asian Games, SEA Games, Asian Beach Games, World Games, Youth Asian Games, and Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games and is duly recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia and TAFISA.
- Pencak Silat Association Odisha (PSAO) has more than 100 approved Clubs and 20 Associations of different events like Tanding, Tunggal, Ganda Regu, Solo, etc. Pencak Silat Association Odisha (PSAO) has a strength of 50 IPSF-qualified referees and judges and two internationally accredited or certified coaches under the presidency of Sheik Alau’ddin Yacoob Marican and Mohammad Iqbal.
- Pencak Silat Association Odisha (PSAO) is fully involved in developing and popularizing Pencak Silat Sport in Odisha and has produced a number of international-level medalists.
- Membership for the Players is open to all technically and deserving organizations that will agree to abide by the rules and regulations of IPSF and PerSILAT unconditionally.
